Drive-Alerts have been the security industry's most popular vehicle detection systems for over 30 years, and they are manufactured by the pioneer in vehicle detection technology...Mier Products, Inc.
Mier Product's Drive-Alert Vehicle Detection Systems detect vehicle movement in driveways, farm lanes, near workshops or equipment, at remote locations, and at drive-up windows. These driveway alarm systems are also excellent for stationary asset protection. Use it anywhere knowledge of vehicle movement, or tampering with equipment, is desired.
All Drive-Alert driveway alarm system models sense disturbances in the magnetic field around them, such as moving vehicles or the movement of metal objects near a sensor. A signal is transmitted from the sensor(s) to the control panel to trigger an alert whenever a car, truck, or other metal object moves within twelve feet of the sensor(s). Multiple sensors may be used. The type of alert varies by the model you choose, and by the accessories you add to it.
What can these affordable and reliable systems do for you? |

Question 1: Is this a business or a home? Businesses need the DA-500 or the DA-600. Homes need the DA-500 or DA-605P.
Question 2: Do you want a buried-sensor system or a wireless? "Buried Sensor" systems call for a DA-500. "Wireless" systems call for a DA-600 or a DA-605P.
Question 3A: Do you need a longer range than the standard 100' for a buried sensor DA-500 system?
If "yes" order a DA-500CP with a DA-051-__, where you fill in the feet needed up to 2500'
Example: DA-051-200 would be a sensor with 200' of cable.
Question 3B: Do you need a longer range than the standard 1000' for a wireless DA-600 or DA-605P system? If "yes" order a DA-600LR or a DA-605PLR which includes a DA-660 Booster-Antenna which extends the reception range up to 1/2-mile. (See Options below)
Question 4: Do you want to add wireless lights (DA-606LK), hard-wired lights (DA-505), wireless chimes (DA-066 Xmitter to activate DA-068 Plug-in Chimes or DA-070 Portable Chimes), or hard-wired chimes (DA-655 or DA-052V)? If "yes" then see our list of Accessories below.
Question 5: If you choose a wireless DA-600 or DA-605, you need to determine if you are able to put the sensor right next to the drive? If "yes" then simply order the standard DA-600 or DA-605P.
If "no" then you need a DA-611TO (See "Options" below). In this case you should order a DA-600CP (control panel only) or DA-605CP (control panel only) PLUS the DA-611TO.

The Original Drive-AlertThe DA-500 Drive-Alert Vehicle Detection System includes a control panel with an internal alert whistle, a sensor, and 100 feet of cable. See our "Options and Accessories" below for longer lengths of cable and other features which can easily be added. Popular accessories include chimes and lights. See the "Wireless Systems" directly below if you are interested in wireless vehicle detection systems. The DA-500 has a sensor which monitors a 10 foot radius (20' diameter) to detect disturbances in the magnetic field caused by vehicle traffic in driveways, farm lanes, intersections and any areas where knowledge of vehicle movement is desired. Up to three additional sensors may be added to a DA-500. The DA-500 sensor is not a PIR or "beam" sensor. Thus, the DA-500 does not have the false alarms common to that type of sensor; such as being triggered by animals, fog, weather, etc... |

Homes A residential installation allows the homeowner to know when someone enters the driveway. This is accomplished by a buried sensor which detects moving metal objects such as cars, trucks, motorcycles or bikes. Then the sensor sends a signal to the control panel which sounds an electronic whistle alert. Businesses and Drive-Up Windows
Restaurants, banks, and other businesses across the country utilize the Drive-Alert to detect traffic at their drive-up windows. The DA-655 Chime Accessory (pictured to the right) is HIGHLY recommended for |

DA-051 sensor with cable length of your choice:If you intend on ordering a DA-500, but need more than the standard 100' of direct-burial cable, then order a DA-500CP which is the DA-500 control-panel, AND ALSO order the DA-051-_ _ _. The DA-051 is the sensor, and then you fill in the spaces with the length of cable you will need (in feet) from 10' up to a maximum of 2500'. An example would be a DA-051-200 would be a sensor with a 200 feet of cable. |

Wireless DA-610TO Transmitter with Internal Sensor: for use with models DA-600 and DA-605Unlimited sensors may be used with the new wireless series of Drive-Alerts to monitor several areas. The sensor is encased in a durable outdoor metal enclosure. They monitor a 14-foot radius (28' diameter). These sensors require two standard AA batteries which will last more than a year under normal usage. These sensors may be placed up to 1000 feet from the Control Panel, and up to 2500 feet when used with a Long Range "LR" system which includes the DA-660 booster antenna. The sensors are tamper resistant due to the fact that if anyone touches or moves one, the alert will be triggered. NOTE: the new wireless systems can be completely battery operated allowing them to be entirely mobile. |
